Guns'N'Roses: Behind the Waiting
The G'N'R Behind the Music Special was finally on VH1 last night. What a wonderful way to cap off a holiday weekend! My neighbors set off huge silver and blue aerial fireworks, just visible above my deck, throughout the entire program. The fireworks provided a fitting backdrop to the story of Axl and Slash's explosive relationship. The special featured footage of the infamous 1991 Guns'N'Roses/Metallica Tour, which I missed out on back in 10th grade. I own one of the shirts from the tour, in mint condition. I never wear it because I don't want to dribble pizza sauce on such an important piece of rock history. If you managed to tape the Behind the Music special, please let me know. I will buy your tape to add to my collection of Guns'N'Roses memorabilia.

Axl sucks!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteIf you go on the VH1 web page - www.vh1.com - they will show the times that they will replay the G'N'R Behind the music. I have watched it a few times already. Did you watch the 100 Metal Moments?
I didn't even think of going to the VH1 website. I will figure out when it's going to be on again! I did watch 100 Metal Moments. I liked the moments with DIO the best - he invented the two-fingered salute! What a cool guy. His video clip was really funny. He was dressed up in fake animal skins and swinging around a big plastic sword.
