Why Swedes Act the Way They Do

This is a serious site about Swedish culture, but I thought this particular page was a hoot. The page should be renamed to Why Minnesotans Act the Way They Do". I love the part about how Swedes abhor boasting - it says, "they try to lie low, not say too much and, above all not show off." Hmmm, I know a few people like that. If you've ever been to a Lutheran church, you've probably had an exchange such as, "This coffee cake is really good." "Oh, it's just something I whipped up. I hardly had the right ingredients, you know, I had to leave out the nutmeg."
