Minneapolis is a Technopolis!
Check out this article in Popular Science that surveyed major US metros and concluded that the top tech city (Or 'Technopolis') is Minneapolis! The best part is when the reporter says that his cab driver has an advanced degree in computer programming. Now I know what my future job is. Yikes! If you see me rattling by in a yellow Crown Vic, just wave.

I read that article this past weekend, and cringed at the 'cabbie with a CS degree' comment. Sheesh, thanks for the vote of confidence!
ReplyDeleteI also thought it was very misleading how the article touted the 100% rate of acceptance of electronic payment by the Minneapolis transit system. Sure, you can pay electronically, but the actual transit coverage itself it really behind other cities.
